The Hanoi City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has planned seven special tours from July to October 2009 to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and National Tourism Year 2010.
The tours include a journey through ancient capital cities in Thua Thien-Hue, Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh.
Other tours will visit sites closely connected with Buddhism and the Ly Dynasty, such as Huy Lau, Yen Tu, Huong Pagoda, Tay Phuong Pagoda, Thay Pagoda, and museums in Hanoi.
The tourism sector will also conduct surveys and develop tours of eco-tourist resorts, traditional craft villages and vovinam.
