Airlines plan direct flights to Viet Nam |Foreign air carriers are planning to launch several direct routes to Viet Nam, with the first due to begin this month.
It will become the second foreign airline after Singapore's Silk Air to fly to Da Nang. Silk Air operates three flights a week. German carrier Lufthansa has announced plans to begin direct flights from Berlin to Ha Noi. Besides German businessmen and tourists, there is also a huge demand from the tens of thousands of Vietnamese living and studying in that country. Vietnam Airlines only flies to Frankfurt. The national flag carrier has announced plans to begin direct flights on the Japan-Da Nang route on December 21.
